Job Description:
Overall Responsibilities:
The Academic Consultant provides comprehensive university guidance and application support to MUIDS students. With a strong understanding of Thai and international university admission processes, the Academic Consultant helps students explore suitable higher education pathways, develop individualized application plans, and successfully navigate the application process from initial preparation through enrollment.
Specific Duties:
- Advise students on Thai and international university pathways based on their academic profiles, interests, abilities, and career goals.
- Educate students about Thai university admission systems, including TCAS,TCAS Folio, direct admission, quota admission, and scholarship opportunities, as well as international application platforms such as UCAS and Common App.
- Provide individualized guidance on university selection, application procedures, admission requirements, standardized tests, scholarship opportunities, and interview preparation.
- Guide students in preparing application materials, including portfolios, personal statements, statements of purpose, recommendation or reference letters, and other required documents.
- Support students throughout the university application process by monitoring their application plans, requirements, deadlines, submission status, offers, and final university decisions, and following up regularly on their progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on higher education developments, admission policies, application timelines, program requirements, scholarships, and relevant changes in Thailand and abroad.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with Thai and international universities and their representatives.
- Organize university-related events and workshops, including university visits, university fairs, application workshops, and information sessions for students and parents.
- Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and other relevant staff to provide coordinated and comprehensive student support.
- Maintain accurate records of student applications, admission offers, university destinations, and graduation outcomes.
- Analyze university admission and graduate destination data and prepare reports for school administrators.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administrators.
