Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in nutrition epidemiology, nutrition, computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, information management, public administration, or a related field is required.

Desired Skills and Experience

 The International Expert will preferably have strong expertise in human nutrition and epidemiology and preferably be proficient with using statistical programs to conduct analysis of different types of nutrition data from study populations including dietary intake, biomarkers, and anthropometry. Knowledge or experience in analytical chemistry would be an asset.

Responsibilities

The International Expert will contribute to project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation: “Building capacity for standardized measurement of diet quality and key nutritional biomarkers for capturing the triple burden of malnutrition as part of population surveys in low- and middle-income countries”. The research will involve two areas:

 (๑) The International Expert will contribute to analytical design, statistical analysis, and interpretation and preparation of results for a recent survey of ๖oo Thai men and women (data include ๒ days of ๒๔-hour diet recall, food frequency questionnaire, various diet quality metrics, various lifestyle risk factor questionnaires, anthropometry, body composition, blood pressure, blood biomarkers, ๒๔-hour urine biomarkers, and demographics).

 (๒) The International Expert will contribute to project management, technical guidance, and summarizing outcomes for a major effort to convene expert consultation around recommended nutritional biomarkers and analytical methods for measuring them in population surveys, and contribute to development of a model reference laboratory at Mahidol University for regional surveillance of micronutrient and NCD-related nutritional biomarkers.
