1. Giving guitar private lessons, group lessons, and ensemble lessons
2. Giving lectures on guitar pedagogy and/or literature
3. Preparing students for junior and senior recital
4. Serving as a judge in jury exams
5. Participating in student recruitment campaigns, meetings, and other school special events
6. Performing solo and/or chamber concerts
7. Advising students
8. Producing academic works such as journal articles, research projects, creative works, etc.
9. Assessing and monitoring student progress  and providing them feedbacks with written reports
10. Serving as a role model for students and motivating them to strive toward artistic progress
11. Doing additional paper works   
12. When eligible, serving as thesis advisor

A full-time classical guitar instructor at College of Music mainly teaches classical guitar related classes such as private lessons, group lessons, and ensembles. It is of utmost important that the instructor possesses an outstanding level of guitar performance and teaching.  In certain circumstances, he/she may be required to give guitar pedagogy or literature classes, and asked to participate in student recruiting, jury exams, curriculum development, meetings, and school special events. Performing concerts and producing academic works are also essential duties of the instructor as well.
