          Mahidol University has opening for the position of 2 position to work at Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities
Qualifications

1. General Requirements

1.1 Nationality: Applicants must be foreign nationals legally eligible to work in Thailand and able to obtain a work permit.

1.2 Education: A doctoral degree in Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Economics, Education, or other closely related fields from an internationally accredited institution.

1.3 Experience: At least three (3) years of full-time teaching or research experience at a recognized university or research institute, with evidence of international academic engagement or leadership roles.

 

2. Academic Qualifications

2.1 Research Publications: A strong and consistent record of research publications in internationally refereed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, including at least one publication as first or corresponding author within the past three years.

2.2 Research Leadership: Demonstrated capacity to lead or coordinate research teams, supervise graduate students, and develop multi-institutional or cross-country research collaborations.

2.3 Grant and Project Experience: Proven success in securing research funding from reputable international sources.

2.4 Academic Networking: Active participation in international academic networks, associations, or think tanks relevant to Asian studies or social sciences.

 

3. Expertise in Grant Proposal Writing and Academic Event Management

3.1 Proposal Writing Experience: Demonstrated experience in preparing research proposals for international funding agencies such as Horizon Europe, NIH, the World Bank, or other major funding bodies.

3.2 Knowledge of Funding Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of the criteria requirements and formats for research project proposals from various funding sources.

3.3 Strategic Customization: Ability to analyze the needs of funding organizations and tailor proposals to fit the specific context of each funding opportunity.      

3.4 Budgeting and Operational Planning: Proficient in developing research budgets and operational plans to ensure successful project implementation.

3.5 Project Management: Proficiency in developing research budgets and defining operational goals to ensure the successful execution of research projects.

3.6 Academic Conference Organization: Experience in organizing academic seminars, conferences, or related international events.

4. Key Responsibilities:

4.1 Research and Publication: Conduct high-quality research and publish research articles in international peer-reviewed journals (minimum two per year, Scopus or Web of Science).

4.2 Proposal Development: Prepare and submit research project proposals for international funding.

4.3 Organize Seminars and Conferences: Organize or co-host international seminars, conferences, policy dialogues, academic workshops or related events.

4.4 Promote International Cooperation: Promote international visibility and enhance global academic engagement through cooperation with universities, research centers, and policy institutions abroad.

Note: Candidates must meet all graduation requirements as specified by their academic institution All required studies must be completed on or before the application deadline.

 

Selection process

6. Selection Process:

Round 1: Evaluation of qualifications based on the submitted application materials.

Round 2: Selected Candidates will present their research, emphasizing their methodology and key findings, followed by a 15–20 minute interview in English. Evaluation will focus on academic competencies, communication skills, attitudes, and interpersonal abilities.

Salary and Benefits:

1. Salary: 31,290 Baht

2. Housing Allowance: 8,000 Baht

3. Remuneration: 10,000 Baht

4. Social Security: Coverage provided

5. Leave: 10 days per year of business or vacation leave (not applicable during the first 6 months of employment

6. Annual Health Check-up: Provided in accordance with the agency's guidelines.
