Qualifications

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology major), Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Strong command of the English language
- Experience in teaching Biology at the secondary level
- Experience with teaching health beneficial but not required
- Familiarity with US curriculum and Advanced Placement (AP) programs
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes
- Experience teaching English Language Learners

Job Description :
- Instruct students in Biology, using student-centered approaches and best practices
- Instruct students in health and life skills, using student-centered approaches and best practices
- Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum and department guidelines
- Design and implement engaging units and lessons that focus on developing students’ scientific knowledge
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through scientific methods and teaching techniques
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback through differentiated assessment
- Attend all team meetings and teach in alignment with the other biology teachers
- Attend all team meeting and teach in alignment with the other health and life skills teachers
- Perform other assigned duties (extracurricular activities, supervision duties, exam proctoring, etc.)
