Qualifications
|
|
- Nationality: Foreign national; applicants with linguistic and regional expertise in Asia, particularly Southeast Asia, are encouraged
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in languages, linguistics, cultural studies, social sciences, humanities, education, international relations, or a related field
- Language proficiency:
o Asian language (native or fluent); expertise in a Southeast Asian language is particularly desirable
o English (good working proficiency is strongly preferred)
o Thai (communication skills are an advantage but not essential)
- Regional knowledge and professional networks: Familiarity with the languages, cultures, higher education systems, or institutional networks of Asia, particularly Southeast Asia; relevant professional connections are desirable
- Technical and IT Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office software
o Ability to type and draft formal documents and communicate effectively online
o Familiar with online communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Job Description
|
|
- Support and coordinate RILCA’s international relations activities and communication with partner institutions, visiting scholars, students, and external organisations
o Academic exchange and mobility programmes
o International research, training, and special projects
- Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, educational institutions, government agencies, and relevant organisations across Asia, with particular attention to Southeast Asia
- Act as a liaison and provide coordination support between RILCA and international partners, students, visiting scholars, and staff, including assistance with communication, institutional procedures, and cultural adjustment
- Arrange and coordinate events and special projects related to academic cooperation, language and cultural exchange, international networking, and the missions of RILCA
- Translate, interpret, and support multilingual communication in the expert’s Asian language(s), English, and Thai, as appropriate and according to proficiency
- Attend meetings, prepare correspondence and reports, and report progress to institutional management and the staff responsible for international relations
- Assist in international communication, marketing, and public relations for RILCA’s academic programmes, research, training, and institutional activities through online and offline channels
