หลักเกณฑ์การคัดเลือก
๑. ผู้สมัครนำเสนอแผนการสอน (course syllabus) ในวิชาใดวิชาหนึ่งของหลักสูตรฯ ที่สะท้อนประเด็นที่ตนเชี่ยวชาญ/สนใจ มิติทางสังคมวัฒนธรรมในปัจจุบันและแนวโน้มอนาคต และความเชื่อมโยงกับแนวคิดหลักและกระบวนการทำงานวิจัยด้านวัฒนธรรมศึกษา จำนวน ๑ วิชา โดยระบุเนื้อหา/หัวข้อการสอนแต่ละครั้ง เอกสารสำหรับนักศึกษาอ่านประกอบในแต่ละครั้ง การวัดผลและประเมินผลการเรียน (ทั้งหมด ๔๕ ชั่วโมง โดยอาจแบ่งเป็นสัปดาห์ละ ๓ ชั่วโมง ๑๕ สัปดาห์ หรือปรับตามความเหมาะสม) โดยมีรายชื่อวิชาเพื่อเลือกวิชาใดวิชาหนึ่งสำหรับนำเสนอแผนการสอนดังนี้
แนวคิดหลักทางด้านวัฒนธรรมศึกษา
ภาพรวมและความหลากหลายของแนวทางการศึกษาและนิยามวัฒนธรรม คุณค่าและการจัดประเภทวัฒนธรรม วัฒนธรรมประจำชาติ รสนิยมและชนชั้น วัฒนธรรมในชีวิตประจำวัน การศึกษาวัฒนธรรมผ่านมุมมองยุคหลังอาณานิคมนิยม การเมืองเรื่องของอัตลักษณ์และเพศสภาพ อัตลักษณ์กลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ มานุษยวิทยากับการพัฒนา วัฒนธรรมสุขภาพ วัฒนธรรมกับดนตรี ประวัติศาสตร์วัฒนธรรมผ่านวงศาวิทยา วาทกรรม การสร้างข้อเท็จจริงผ่านสื่อ ปรากฏการณ์นิยมและความเป็นตัวตนยุคหลังสมัยใหม่ ปรากฏการณ์นิยมกับพื้นที่จัดแสดงและวัฒนธรรมการมีส่วนร่วม

การออกแบบการวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมศึกษา
ปรัชญาและกระบวนทัศน์ในการวิจัย หลากหลายทิศทางในการทำวิจัยเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมความรู้ที่แตกต่างกันจากวิธีการวิจัยที่หลากหลายประเภท โครงสร้างของโครงร่างวิจัย โจทย์วิจัย การทบทวนวรรณกรรม การกำหนดขอบเขตการวิจัย และการคำนึงถึงข้อจำกัดในการวิจัย การวางแผนการวิจัย จริยธรรมในการทำงานวิจัย

๓. การสอบสัมภาษณ์ โดยพิจารณาจากคุณสมบัติทางวิชาการ ความสามารถในการถ่ายทอดความรู้
Selection Criteria
1. Applicant presents a lesson plan (course syllabus) for one of the courses listed below which reflects the issues of their expertise/interest in current socio-cultural dimensions and future trends, and linked to principles and research work processes in cultural studies, including the following: 1) course description, 2) course learning outcomes, 3) topics for 15 lectures, 4) reading and literature for each lecture, 5) course evaluation and criteria , and 6) classroom activities and other necessary information (45 hours total, which may be divided into 3 hours per week, 15 weeks or adjusted as appropriate). The list of subjects to choose from for presenting the lesson plan is as follows:
Principle Concepts in Cultural Studies
Overview and various definitions and approaches to cultures; cultural studies through the lens of power, discourse and signs; understanding cultural phenomenon related to everyday practices; issues of class, race and gender
Practicum
Methods and approaches in conducting cultural studies-related research, different methods in studying cultures, selecting a research method, research practicality in critical ethnography and visual anthropology, research practicality in phenomenology, research practicality in semiotics and discourse analysis, research practicality in narrative research, research practicality in action research, research practicality in mixed method research, ethical issues in cultural research
Research Design in Cultural Studies
Philosophy and paradigms in conducting research; different directions of conducting research in relation to culture; different forms of knowledge from multiple research methods; research proposal structure, research questions, literature review, research planning, setting the scope of research, consideration of research limitations and research ethics.
Critical Theory in Cultural Studies
Development and debates about contemporary critical theory in relation to cultural studies; the relationship between cultural studies and modern and postmodern conditions, post-structuralism and political economy; new trends in the study of media, art, culture, and multiculturalism through the lens of critical theory
Critical Cultural Policies
Background of policy structure and relevant legal frameworks in relation to national and international cultural strategies and comparative studies; outlining of cultural development strategies between nations; analysis of cultural and economic development policies in developing countries; roles of international organizations in shaping global cultural policy, critical points in cultural policies and impacts of cultural policies from different countries
Rural-Urban Cultural Relations
Critical concepts in relation to urban and rural spaces; problems, conditions and factors in community cultural policy; discourse on cultural development in the Thai context; urban and rural identities and cultural expressions; art practices in different cultural spaces; digital technology and participatory cultures; guidelines on developing cultural policies and development that meet community needs; place making concept, creative economy and sustainable society
Community Design
Concepts and principles of design; reflection-inaction from working with urban and rural communities; cultural entrepreneurism; learning from reality and digital world; workplace-based and community-based learning
Cultural & Creative Entrepreneurship
Key concepts of business design and development from cultural capital; creative entrepreneurial characteristics; understanding of creative entrepreneurial ecosystem; organizational management skills; business outcome evaluation; marketing and fund-raising strategies
Museum Entrepreneurship
Concepts in designing and managing a museum business; understanding the audience; creating a path, value creation, value proposition, financial planning, marketing, business strategies, planning investment, assessment and return on social investment
Public Art
Meanings of public art, creative process, meaning-making, public space, exhibition; collaboration between artists and community; cultural landscape, urban design and diverse communities, restoring the environment through art; improving community environment; support for community activities; community inclusion support; awareness of cultural identities; social networks support; social integration; process of participation; knowledge sharing and social change; relational aesthetics; collaborative creativity; support for diverse community cultures
Film Archive, Digital Data and Cultural Memories
Concept of historiography and a creation of new knowledge in film culture, the study of film culture and concept of cultural memory for content and discourse analysis; approaches to data collection and data analysis; online participatory cultures; cultural memories through film archives and other different forms of digital data; working with archival materials at film-related archives
2. Applicant makes a presentation based on their previous research, prospective research or dissertation.
3. Applicant is interviewed by the selection committee. The selection criteria include academic qualifications, pedagogical skills, vision and personality suitable for the lecturer position.
