คุณสมบัติของผู้สมัคร
คุณสมบัติทั่วไป :
๑. ไม่จำกัดเพศ (เพศชายต้องผ่านการเกณฑ์ทหารแล้ว หรือจบ ร.ด. ปี ๓)
๒. ไม่เคยถูกจำคุกโดยคำพิพากษาถึงที่สุดให้จำคุก เว้นแต่เป็นโทษสำหรับความผิดที่ได้กระทำโดยประมาทหรือความผิดลหุโทษ
๓. ไม่เป็นโรคติดต่อร้ายแรง หรือมีปัญหาทางสุขภาพที่จะทำให้ไม่สามารถปฏิบัติหน้าที่ได้
๔. ไม่จำกัดสัญชาติ แต่ต้องมีความสามารถในการอ่าน เขียน และสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้ดี
คุณสมบัติเฉพาะตำแหน่ง (Required Qualifications) :
๑. เป็นผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอก ทางด้านสังคมศาสตร์ ศิลปศาสตร์ มานุษยวิทยา สังคมวิทยา ประวัติศาสตร์ รัฐศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรมศึกษา ศึกษาศาสตร์ ภูมิภาคศึกษา การพัฒนาหรือสาขาอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องที่คณะกรรมการพิจารณาแล้วเหมาะสม
๒. มีความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษระดับดี โดยมีผลคะแนน IELTS (Academic Module) คะแนนรวมไม่ต่ำกว่า ๖.๕ คะแนน หรือ TOEFL IBT (Internet Based) คะแนนรวมไม่ต่ำกว่า ๗๙ คะแนน หรือ TOEFL- ITP คะแนนรวมไม่ต่ำกว่า ๕๕๐ คะแนน หรือ TOEFL- CBT คะแนนรวมไม่ต่ำกว่า ๒๑๓ คะแนน หรือ MU GRAD Test คะแนนรวมไม่ต่ำกว่า ๙๐ คะแนน และเป็นผลการสอบที่มีระยะเวลาไม่เกิน ๒ ปี นับถึงวันที่ยื่นใบสมัคร (แนบผลคะแนน ณ วันที่สมัคร) หากไม่มีผลคะแนนดังกล่าว สถาบันฯ จะไม่พิจารณาใบสมัคร
กรณี เป็นผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาจากหลักสูตรที่มีการเรียนการสอนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) ในประเทศที่มีการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาทางการ จะไม่แนบผลคะแนนทดสอบภาษาอังกฤษดังกล่าวได้
๓. เป็นผู้มีความสามารถด้านการวิจัยในประเด็น พลวัตทางวัฒนธรรมและความหลากหลาย อัตลักษณ์ชาติพันธุ์และชาติพันธุ์สัมพันธ์ การเคลื่อนไหวภาคประชาสังคม การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ความเป็นพลเมืองทางวัฒนธรรม สิทธิทางวัฒนธรรม อิทธิพลความเป็นหลังอาณานิคมนิยม นโยบายทางพหุภาษาพหุวัฒนธรรม ความเป็นโลกาภิวัตน์ การข้ามชาติ การอพยพโยกย้าย และการพลัดถิ่น ในบริบทที่เชื่อมโยงสังคมกับประเทศในภูมิภาคอาเซียน อินเดีย และจีน
๔. มีผลงานวิจัยตีพิมพ์ในฐานข้อมูลสากล หรือบทความในหนังสือที่ตีพิมพ์โดยสำนักพิมพ์ต่างประเทศที่มีมาตรฐานได้รับการยอมรับในแวดวงวิชาการ
๕. มีประสบการณ์สอนและ/หรือ การบรรยายวิชาการและ/หรือ การนำเสนอผลงานวิชาการในการประชุมวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ และ/หรือมีประสบการณ์การทำงานวิชาการกับเครือข่ายต่างประเทศ
๖. เป็นผู้ไม่ติดเงื่อนไขการชดใช้ทุนกับหน่วยงานใด
คุณสมบัติซึ่งจะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ (Desirable Qualifications) :
๑. ประสบการณ์และมีผลการวิจัยทางสังคมศาสตร์มนุษยศาสตร์ด้านจีนศึกษา หรือเอเชียตะวันออกศึกษา
๒. มีความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาจีนในระดับดี
๓. มีเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ
๔. มีประสบการณ์ทำวิจัยทางด้านพหุภาษา พหุวัฒนธรรม ในภูมิภาคเอเชียหรืออาเซียน ในลักษณะเชิงเปรียบเทียบ หรือประเด็นข้ามชาติ
๕. มีความสามารถหรือมีประสบการณ์ในการทำงานวิจัยเชิงผสมผสาน (mixed methods research)
๖. มีความสามารถในการใช้เทคโนโลยีในการวิจัยสมัยใหม่ หรือสามารถใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูปใหม่ๆ ช่วยในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล
หมายเหตุ: คุณสมบัติซึ่งจะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ ไม่ได้เป็นคุณสมบัติที่ผู้สมัครจำเป็นต้องมีครบทุกข้อ แต่หากผู้สมัครมีคุณสมบัติดังกล่าว จะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ
Qualifications
General qualifications
1. No gender limitation (a Thai male applicant must have completed their statuary military service obligation, or be exempt).
2. Applicant must never have been sentenced to imprisonment for a crime.
3. No serious contagious disease or health problems that will prevent them from performing their duties
4. Any nationality, however candidate must have the ability to read, write and communicate in Thai and/or English
Specific qualifications
- Applicant must hold a doctoral degree in the field of social sciences, liberal arts, anthropology,
sociology, history, political science, cultural studies, education, regional studies, development or other related fields as considered appropriate by the committee
2. Applicant must have good competence in English language that can be evidenced in successful results in the following tests:
- IELTS (Academic module): 6.5 or higher
- TOEFL IBT (Internet based): 79 or higher
- TOEFL ITP: 550 or higher
- TOEFL CBT: 213 or higher
- MU GRAD Test: 90 or higher
Please note that the results declared must not be over 2 years old as of the application closure date. If proof of English language proficiency is not declared, the university will not consider the submitted application.
Remark: If applicant has completed their doctoral studies or higher with proof of English language proficiency submitted when enrolling to the degree program, the same proof can be used for this application. If applicant has completed their doctoral studies in English in a country where English is an official language, declaring English language proficiency is exempted.
3. Applicant should have the ability to conduct research on cultural dynamics and diversity, ethnic Identity and ethnic relations, civil society movement, sustainable development, cultural citizenship, cultural rights, influence of post-colonialism, multicultural policy, globalization, transnationalism, migration and diaspora in contexts related to societies in the ASEAN region, India and China
4. Applicant should have had their research published in an international journal or an article in a book published by a foreign publisher respected in academic circles.
5. Applicant should have teaching experience and/or have provided academic lectures and/or presentation of academic work at international academic conferences and/or have academic experience working as part of an international network.
6. Applicant must not be subject to conditions under a scholarship.
(Desirable Qualifications):
1. Experience and research results in social science and humanities in Chinese studies or East Asian studies
2. Good proficiency in Chinese
3. Membership in an international academic cooperation network.
4. Have experience conducting research in the areas of multilingualism and multiculturalism in Asia or ASEAN using a comparative approach or related to transnational issues.
5. Ability to work using mixed methods research.
6. Ability to use technology in modern research or can use new ready-made computer programs to help in data analysis
Note: desirable qualifications are an advantage but it is not essential.
