General qualifications
- Applicant’s age is not specified.
- A Thai male applicant must have completed their statutory military service obligation, or be exempt.
- Applicant must have never been sentenced to imprisonment for a crime.
Specific qualifications
1. Applicant must hold a doctoral degree in anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, economics, political economy, political science, Indian studies, global studies, policy and development studies or other social sciences field related to the topics of India or India-ASEAN.
2. Applicant must have published at least one research paper or academic article published in an international journal listed in SCOPUS or other international journal database recognized by the Civil Service Commission.
3. Applicant must have good competence in English that can be evidenced in any of the following tests:
- IELTS (Academic module): 6.0 or higher
- TOEFL IBT (Internet based): 79 or higher
- TOEFL ITP: 550 or higher
- TOEFL CBT: 213 or higher
Please note that the results declared must not be over 2 years old as of the application closure date. If proof of English language proficiency is not declared, the university will not consider the submitted application.
Remark: If applicant has completed their doctoral studies or higher with proof of English language proficiency submitted when enrolling to the degree program, the same proof can be used for this application. If applicant has completed their doctoral studies in English in a country where English is an official language, declaring English language proficiency can be exempted.
4. Applicant who has experience in conducting research or participatory research will be given special consideration.
5. Applicant should have skills in information technology.
