Overall Responsibility:
- To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential
- To teach Thai Language and Culture
- To prepare class report for the ONESQA (Sor Mor Sor) Quality Assurance/ Accreditation Visit
- To work collaboratively with colleagues within department and outside
Specific Duties:
- Has a capacity to teach Thai Language and cultures, and Thai Literature (all subjects are taught in Thai.)
- Homeroom Duty (for the teachers who have homeroom assignment) such as: check and keep accurate records of attendance, bring to notice Bulletin matters during each Homeroom period, and develop a sense of community in the Homeroom
- Lunch Duty Supervision
Etc.
Planning:
- Develop units of instruction and lesson plans that are challenging, coherent, and relevant
- Develop, and provide the administration with, monthly unit plans (scope and sequence) for each subject and include the following: key objectives, activities, resources, and assessments
- Identify and select different instructional resources including technology, and methods to meet students’ varying needs
Instruction:
- Use a variety of teaching/learning strategies to address different learning styles and student needs
- Observe and provide appropriate feedback on student’s work
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
Evaluation:
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and work projects
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
- Update student’s score on time
- Communicate information, both orally and in writing, regularly and appropriately to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Student Management:
- Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
- Manage student behavior in and outside the classroom and apply appropriate measures where necessary in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
Professionalism:
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, Ministry policies, and school regulations: including daily class attendance and grade book.
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organization
- Participate in department, school meetings, and parent meetings
- Keep up to date with developments in subject areas, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching quality and the instructional environment
- Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, colleagues, and community
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: being on time and meeting deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
